Chris Jones has over 30 years experience in shipping operations as a Merchant Navy officer, marine insurance & claims administrator and surveyor. He has established a reputation as an expert consultant to the maritime community and his Royal Navy Reserve service has involved port and shipping security operations both in the UK and Middle East. Chris Jones heads up the professional team at MAROPS to deliver the high quality.

Donald Turner (Topsy) served 25 years in the Royal Navy, reaching the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Latterly, he has received Merchant Navy recognised training in seamanship matters. In the security world he was an Establishment Security and Counter Terrorist Officer and responsible for the implementation and training of armed and unarmed security guards. He is qualified by the National Examination Board of Safety and Health as a Health & Safety practitioner and has passed the COSHH Assessment and Risk Management Courses. He brings a wealth of practical maritime security experience (and many anecdotes) to MAROPS.

Associates

Experts in particular areas of security act as Associates to MAROPS and participate as lecturers during courses in addition to consultancy work.
